Unique regatta for SB20 Class: Kazenoy-Am Cup 2019

For the second consecutive year the Sailing Federation of the Chechen Republic driven by Khasan Khadzhiev will organize a regatta in a high mountain lake – Kazenoy-Am 2019 in Chechen Republic of Russia! The Sailing Federation of the Chechen Republic was established December 2016. On 5–9 July 2017, the Federation carried out one of the highest-altitude sailing events in the history – the first regatta in the North Caucasus on Lake Kezenoy-Am, 1870 m above sea level.

The event this year is to repeat the success of the previous year and to be held again on 23-28 of July 2019. The regatta is sailed on SB20 sailboats with a crew of no more than four people. About 24 crews are going to participate, some Top Russian sailors have already registered!

The sailors will be fighting for valuable prizes – the challenge cup of Kezenoy–Am, a reward of about 16.000 EUR and a special prize from the race partner – Hamilton, a well-known international watch brand.

A special price of €450 (per team) if paid before April 30 is still available!

This price includes everything: accommodation, meals, transfers from/to airport Grozny (GRV) and to Lake Kezenoy-Am, SB20 sailboat charter, organization and entry fees, sightseeing tours and entertainment program, opening and closing dinners as well as visa support. 

Luca Babini (ITA) is invited to judge these competitions as the head of the international jury, which is a qualified international umpire that has outstanding experience in the Americas’ Cup and Olympic Games 2012. This regatta will welcome guests and professional crews from all over the world. Kezenoy- Am Cup 2019 is organized by the Ministry of Tourism, the Chechen Republic and the Chechen Sailing Federation.
