Women’s Open Keelboat Championships Update
Calling all Ladies of the SB3 Fleet! A quick note to draw your attention to the Women’s Open Keelboat Championship 2009 which will take place on the 4/5 July at the Royal Southern Yacht Club.
Last years event was a huge success, but unfortunately clashed with your national championships, which was a shame as we know many of you were keen to take part. This year we’ve made sure there should be no such problems.
With many SB3 sailors keen to participate and the boat being a popular choice for those wishing to charter a small boat for the event, we are confident we’ll have a one-design start for the SB3’s at the 2009 edition of the event, which means a great prize haul will be available from our race sponsor Dubarry!
Not only can you join us for some top flight racing (non of that wives reach around the Solent rubbish here – we are serious about the quality of our racing!) but also have a great night out at the now infamous ‘Frocks & Flipflops Party’ (blokes welcome!) and help us raise some cash for Breast Cancer Care.
Entries open on 1 May via the RSnYC. You can get more information and download the NOR and Entry Forms from the event website (www.wokc.co.uk) and if you have any questions or ideas please email the team on firstname.lastname@example.org
We are really keen to include the SB3 fleet in this event, as we believe you represent a great class which offers a fun and accessible route to really high quality racing. We look forward to seeing you all in July!
Take it easy,
The WOKC Team (Emma Beagley, Jody Slater, Steph Danby & Viks Lincoln)
