Singapore runs its Nationals with five races

SB20 Class Singapore faced two challenging days on water last weekend running their 2018 Nationals. The fleet of 13 boats managed to complete the total of five races.

The overall winner was Nils Razmilovic on Glasgow KissJevyn Ong on Du Mei Dai followed closely behind in second while Tony Holman on Matatu emerged as the third.

“Strange weather conditions throughout the 2 days from extremely hot weather to thundering rain storms within couple hours; wind constantly changing in all directions to completely still windless conditions, that at one point all boats started drifting backwards – not the most ideal sailing condition when that happened,” – comments on her Instagram Maryanne Gul, one of the newcomers to the Class in Singapore. – “Looking forward to the next big race – SB20 Asian Grand Slam & Asia Pacific Championship in Jan 2019 at One°15!”

Thanks a lot to Raffles Marina for the coverage of the event and congrats to SB20 Singapore, all winners and participants! We hope to see you all enjoying sailing our favourite boat next year in beautiful Singapore. Please click here for overall results.
